We are very excited to finally introduce a few projects that we’ve had in the works for a while now. You may have heard that our parent company, F+W, a content and ecommerce company, has partnered with famed pattern designer Tula Pink, on a wide-ranging series of exclusive projects and products, and it’s time to share them all with the world!
Like many quilters, I cannot get enough of Ms. Pink’s fabrics. I hold onto them fiercely, and only cut into them for special projects for special people. I save every scrap. Her new fabric collection, Eden for FreeSpirit, is really cool and I can’t wait to get my hands on some of those prints. Have you seen the tiger print? And the sort of snakesin/mosaic print? I definitely need to buy those prints now, but I might have to go ahead and get yardage of the whole line before it sells out. Because it will. Yardage is available at KeepsakeQuilting.com.
But there is one really cool thing that you can only experience in one place – Tula Pink’s brand new video series, Tula’s House: Inside the Mind and Studio of Tula Pink. The series follows her throughout the entire process of conceiving, designing, developing and producing the Eden fabric collection. The program also features Tula’s studio where she sews on BERNINA. I can’t wait to watch and get some insight into how her mind works. The series will interest quilters, of course, but also anyone interested in pattern design, creative pursuits or beautiful things. There are 12 episodes, and you can sign up for access to the Tula’s House series now.
There are also a number of exclusive quilt kits and digital patterns featuring Eden and another of her FreeSpirit collections, True Colors (if you haven’t checked out her True Colors line yet, DO IT! It’s really pretty blender-type fabrics that can be incorporated into just about any project). There are a few kits and patterns already in the QuiltandSewShop and at Keepsake Quilting, with more to come, so keep checking in!
But wait, there’s more! Tula also recently released a coloring book featuring her artwork! There are some all-time favorite designs to color, plus a few new never-before-seen designs to enjoy – more than 75 in all! Coloring isn’t just for kids anymore, silly rabbit! Complex, intricate coloring books are all the rage these days, and this is probably one of the nicest ones out there. The pages are one-sided, so you don’t have to worry about your pigment bleeding through to another design, plus you can frame it when you’re done. Click on the link to purchase the book.
All this Tula talk makes me want to go fabric shopping! But before I spend all my money on fabric and quilt kits, I may need to calm down with some meditative coloring, or veg out in front of the screen and watch an interesting, informative program about the design process of one of the most popular pattern designers working today. I hope you check out some of these exclusive offerings, and let us know how you like them. We can be contacted on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and of course, our website. Have a Tula-lly great day!
